What is a doula?
You might be wondering, what exactly is a Doula or have a vague idea of what a Doula is. The word ‘Doula‘ comes from Greek, meaning “woman’s servant” and “to serve”. (Doula is pronounced doo-la.) Do you have a birth plan? The Perfect plan
Birth can be so unpredictable! From when it will happen all the way up to how long it will take. If you have a bit of perfectionism in you, this can be a scary idea. Having a birth plan can help you gain some power during labour. So what exactly do you include in your birth plan? You can keep it very simple and start with the three different phases - labour, delivery and newborn care and add one or two things under each heading or you can make a more detailed plan. |
